Theodora & Callum

As I sit here in my usual "HOW IS IT ONLY WEDNESDAY"
get up of head to toe black spandex (attire: yoga formal),
I realize how little attention I've given to the most
life-saving part of my wardrobe: Theodora and Callum scarves.
I wear one almost everyday to disguise all sorts of fashion
woes (especially the aforementioned spandex chic look). They
are the perfect size (BIG!) and such high quality -
I've had some of mine for years and years. They have graced
many a Georgetown bar floor, gotten drenched functioning as
beach sarongs, and served as many an airplane pillow.
In case you need further convincing, see here.

I have this one...

and this one...

and this one...

and these (these are the coolest)...

and the list goes on. Mine are a bit on the older side,
so they're no longer available, but I'm eyeing these for my
next wine fueled online shopping spree:

Hot Mess

It's all about MESSY with these loose braids.
Works for me. Although I have a feeling
these are a tad more involved than they look...

STYLE ICON: Elena Perminova (Again)

"After her rescue from a Russian jail...",
just go ahead and cancel my entire afternoon
because THIS is gonna be good.
It only gets better with impeccable styling
by the talented Joanna Hillman.

Shopping List: A Weekend Duffel

I fell in love with this beautiful leather weekend duffel
by Frank Clegg featured over on Atlantic-Pacific.
Here are some other classic, grown-up options:

Did You See...

...Kate Bosworth as the cover story over at
I find her stunningly beautiful.
I can't wait for some photos of
her wedding this weekend to emerge.

Don't Call it a Comeback

"Never throw anything away!!"
is the lesson we can take away from this trend. New Balance
sneakers are the new Celine tote - that is, they're everywhere.
Thankfully, I'm a bit of a packrat (you say hoarder,
I say sentimental), so I still have my totally '80s maroon
Saucony's that every 7th grader simply HAD. TO. HAVE.
about 10 years ago. You can find them right next to my Dr.
Scholl's sandals that I refuse to part with for fear of missing
out on their imminent return (just wait, you'll see).
Here are the coolest kicks, in my book:

The Quest for a Fall Hat

I have maybe the biggest head in the world.
I'm talking "We need to special order your ski helmet" big.
So needless to say, hats are...difficult? for me. But I
remain undeterred. I'm on a quest for the perfect hat.
Here are my final contenders:
